Temperature readings. We know of at least one resident who collates weather information and uses our site as a "back-up" to his readings. We try to explain here why our readings are only as accurate as we can make them. Our temperature reading uses software which takes a series of shade air temperature readings during the afternoon which should be the warmest part of the day. The software takes a continuous series of readings and once a maximum has been reached it automatically  updates the web site. The problem is that the maximum is detected when the later readings start to fall (there is no other way that a maximum can be known). However despite the software having a built in delay the temperature can "dip" and then rise again giving a false low "day's high" reading. The only way to avoid this would be to delay updating the site until well into the evening which we don't want to do. As the software uses a network connection the update can also be delayed by web congestion. So now you know why the above temperature is sometimes wrong! ;-)
