IT OR
ELECTRONIC WORK
WANTED
A rather unusual man is seeking employment in the
electronics or IT sector - probably on an ad-hoc, job by job basis.
54 years old
with a recently discovered inherited disability (which doesn’t show on
the surface ;-). Presently bored stiff at home.
Educated to
Ph.D. level, where my speciality was SHF radar, I was previously
employed as an engineer by BBC television where I designed and later
repaired sophisticated equipment to component level. I can obviously
read and draw circuit diagrams, and love driving so distance is of
little object. My ideal job would be helping to design and test a new
electronic or computer related product, or perhaps travelling to service
electronic equipment.
In the recent
past I have been running a small computer and networking installation
business where I specialised in the extension and wireless adaptation of
existing computer networks, together with manufacturing and modifying
specialised computers for broadcasting.
I am able to
work alone where I am known to be my own worst critic, delivering work
that is of above average quality and reliability - it is not unknown for
me to work for 36 hours without a break when a job has to be finished.
On the other hand, when needed, I can set up temporary equipment using
the best of British “bodging” to save time and money (remembering health
and safety requirements, of course)!
If you have a
job (possibly temporary, probably unusual) that needs a motivated,
articulate, but quality conscious manager, organiser, or designer,
or even well paid dogsbody, please get in touch by email at "box124@horstedkeynes.com"
.
I am quite
prepared to work informally for a time to allow us an opportunity to get
to know each other.
